A company record gives Lynka a shared customer organization that Sales, Agreements, Support, and other workflows can reference. It is more useful than repeating the company name independently on every lead, deal, quote, invoice, and ticket.

What belongs on the company

The company context can connect contacts, addresses, leads, opportunities, activities, notes, documents, quotes, invoices, and tickets where those relationships exist in the product. Use the company detail view to understand the broader relationship before opening one individual record.

Company versus lead

A lead is an early sales prospect lifecycle. A company is the customer or account context. Qualifying a lead can create or connect the company and the commercial deal, but the company itself is not a deal stage.

Company versus contact

A company represents the organization. Contacts represent people associated with the customer. Keep a decision maker or buyer as a person rather than putting their name into the company title.

Support relationship

Ticket creation requires company or customer context. If you link a ticket to a deal, the current frontend restricts the deal picker to deals that belong to the selected company. That is one reason clean company relationships matter outside Sales.

Data quality

Avoid creating multiple company records only because one salesperson spells the name differently. Use the available duplicate review and search tools before creating another account.
