What the dashboard can contain
Depending on the workspace, saved layout, access, and current widget catalog, desktop can show KPI cards, charts, tables, maps, tasks, activity, pipeline information, quick actions, and other business widgets. Supported widgets can be moved or resized on desktop. Mobile turns the same idea into a vertical card layout instead of reproducing the desktop grid and drag controls.Build the dashboard around responsibility
A salesperson may care about Leads needing follow-up, open Deals, activities, and pipeline. Finance may care about invoices, receivables, payables, cash, and accounting exceptions. Operations may care about stock and purchasing. The owner may want a cross-business view. Do not make every user stare at the same dashboard simply because the business is small.A useful morning order
For an owner or general manager, a practical review is:- money that needs attention
- Leads and Deals needing action
- today’s tasks and activities
- inventory and purchasing exceptions
- support risk
- approvals and operational exceptions
- wider performance trends
Scope affects numbers
A widget can reflect Mine, user, team, or workspace scope where the data and permissions support it. Two users can therefore see different pipeline or activity totals without either screen being wrong. Compare scope before comparing results.Periods can differ by widget
A date selector can belong to the individual widget it changes. Do not assume every dashboard number uses one global period unless the UI explicitly shows that relationship.Dashboard charts are not the Reports product
Basic dashboard visuals and advanced Reports are separate capabilities. Use Reports when you need the report catalog, detailed calculations, schedules, exports, financial statements, or more controlled analysis.Customize the dashboard
Choose a layout that matches the user’s real responsibility.
