Activities turn a CRM record into a working history. A lead or deal can contain perfect contact information and still be useless if nobody can tell when the customer was last contacted or what happens next.

Activity types

The current activity flows support task-like work such as calls, emails, meetings, follow-ups, notes, and scheduled activities. The exact options shown depend on the action surface and workspace configuration.

Log an activity

Open the lead, deal, or Sales activity area and choose Log Activity or the relevant create action. Select the activity type, enter the date or schedule, add the notes or outcome, and link it to the correct record. When an activity is completed, Lynka records the completion time. Scheduled activities can remain open until the work is done.

Completed versus scheduled

A completed customer-facing activity answers “What contact actually happened?” A future scheduled activity answers “What is the next action?” Both matter. A deal can have recent activity but still be risky if there is no next step scheduled.

Attention rules

The automation catalog uses activity history for rules such as Lead needs attention and Deal follow-up due. Those rules look for a lack of completed customer-facing activity over the configured period. The Deal has no next step rule looks for open deals without a future activity.

Timeline quality

Use activity notes for the decision, objection, commitment, or outcome that matters to the next person. Avoid notes such as “called customer” when the useful information is “Customer will review revised pricing with finance on Thursday.”

Mobile

Mobile uses compact activity actions and record detail layouts, while the same scheduled and completed records feed the shared timeline and reporting.
