Activities keep the next action attached to the customer record instead of living only in someone’s memory or personal calendar. Open Sales > Activities to work with task and activity surfaces. Activities can also be created from lead, deal and company records where the relevant action is available.

What to record

Use activities for customer facing work and scheduled next steps. Notes are useful for context that should remain on the record but is not itself a scheduled action. Lynka’s calendar surfaces can show scheduled activities in month, week or day views when the backend activity contract returns them successfully.

Why the next step matters

Open deals without a future activity can be surfaced as Deal has no next step. Leads and deals can also be flagged when customer facing activity has gone stale. A useful activity should tell the next person what needs to happen, when, and against which record.

Desktop and mobile

Desktop activity surfaces use the shared table, calendar and detail patterns. Mobile uses compact cards and mobile forms while preserving the same record links.

Log an activity

Create a useful sales action and keep it linked to the right record.
