Tasks and notes solve different problems. A task or scheduled activity tells you what needs to happen. A note preserves context that someone may need later.

Tasks and scheduled activities

Use task and activity forms to create future work and reminders. Activities can be linked to CRM records such as leads, deals and companies so the next action appears in the customer history rather than a disconnected personal list. Calendar views can display scheduled activities in month, week or day layouts when the backend activity data is available.

Notes

Use notes for context, decisions, meeting details or information that should remain attached to the record but does not need a due date. Do not turn every note into a task. If someone must do something later, create a task or scheduled activity with a clear next action.

Why this affects Sales

Lynka can surface deals with no next step and records that have gone too long without customer facing activity. Keeping real follow ups scheduled makes those attention signals more useful.
