Templates let a workspace standardize how quotes and invoices are presented without rebuilding the layout for every document. Template settings live under Agreements. Access can depend on the workspace plan and the user’s settings permissions. The frontend entitlement model treats custom templates and custom branding as paid capabilities.

What templates affect

Use templates for reusable document presentation such as the structure and branding applied when a quote or invoice is previewed or exported. The commercial values still come from the saved document, line items, taxes, discounts, terms and notes. A template should not change the accounting meaning of the document.

Branding and watermarks

The current entitlement model requires a PDF watermark on Free and removes that requirement on Pro and Teams. Branding controls are separate from the document’s customer, lines and totals.

Preview before sending

Preview the document after changing a template or branding setting. Check long customer names, multiple line items, tax rows, notes and terms so a layout that looks good on a short quote does not break on a real invoice.

Permissions

Template management can be restricted separately from normal quote or invoice creation. A salesperson may be allowed to create documents without being allowed to change the workspace template used by everyone.
