# Notifications in Lynka

> Learn how Lynka notifications, unread state, record routing, workspace preferences, and automation alerts work across desktop and mobile.

Notifications bring record and automation attention into the shared app shell. They are designed to point you back to the work that needs action rather than becoming a second activity database.

## Where notifications appear

The app header includes the notification control. Opening it shows the notification drawer or page with unread state. When routing metadata is available, selecting a notification can take you to the related record or product area.

On mobile, notification access remains part of the authenticated shell while the main product navigation uses the bottom bar and More panel.

## Preferences

Notification and automation preferences are available under Settings. The exact controls depend on workspace configuration, role and enabled features.

Notification delivery preferences are separate from the action that created the underlying record. If an optional notification fails after a primary record action succeeds, the UI should not imply that the record itself failed to save.

## Automation alerts

Built in automation rules can create attention for overdue invoices, stock problems, sales follow up, SLA risk and other conditions. Use the automation catalog to understand what each rule is looking for.
