# Use LeadGen responsibly across your markets

> Understand the business responsibility around generated prospect data, outreach, verification, privacy, and regional rules when using Lynka LeadGen.

LeadGen helps you discover potential business prospects. It does not remove your responsibility to use prospect data lawfully and appropriately.

This is especially important when your business operates across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, where privacy, direct marketing, electronic communications, and sector rules can differ by country.

## Generated data is a starting point

Treat generated and enriched data as information to review, not as a guarantee that every field is current, complete, or appropriate for outreach.

Verify details that matter before acting on them.

## Your outreach rules still apply

A prospect appearing in LeadGen does not automatically mean you have permission to contact that person through every channel.

Your business is responsible for deciding:

* whether the contact and purpose are appropriate
* which outreach channel you use
* whether consent or another lawful basis is required
* how you handle opt-out or objection
* how long you retain prospect data
* whether additional local rules apply to your industry or country

## Europe and GDPR

For European prospects, privacy obligations may apply even in B2B contexts when personal data is involved. Do not treat "business lead" as a blanket exemption from data protection law.

Lynka documentation explains product behavior. It does not provide a legal determination for your outreach campaign.

## Keep the CRM clean

Only move prospects into active Sales work when there is a business reason to keep and work the record. Avoid accumulating large generated lists with no owner, no next action, and no review process.

A cleaner CRM improves both operational focus and data governance.

## Honor opt-out and customer communication rules

If someone asks not to receive further communication, make sure your operating process records and respects that request using the relevant communication and suppression controls available to your workspace.

## Read the platform policies

Use the [Acceptable Use Policy](/acceptable-use), [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy), and [Data Processing Agreement](/data-processing-agreement) for Lynka's published platform terms. Your own company may still need separate policies and procedures for how it uses generated prospect data.
